Previously, they were made only by hand. They were made by means of a glass rod, which was heated and inserted into wooden pliers, according to which the desired shape was pressed out. Finishedbeadswere then polished by plastering them in barrels of water and sand. Nowadayskneaded beads produceby hand only in exceptional cases, only if they are very complex shapes.
They are suitable for jewellery making, bracelets, necklaces, rosaries and home decorations.
