Tumbled and plated beads made of synthetic mineral hematite with facet cut, which is non-magnetic.
Synthetic hematite, unlike natural hematite in polished form, is a perfectly black smooth mineral with a beautifully shiny surface. Natural hematite is red to rusty brown in colour. Chemically, natural hematite is rust. It is coarse, rough, flakes off and cannot be polished. By plating, hematite gets an even shinier surface.
Faceted cut: the creation of a large number of facets (flat areas) on the surface of a stone to improve its appearance and optical properties.
Not suitable for children under 3 years of age - risk of ingestion.
