Tumbled and plated component - intermediate part in the shape of a Greek crossfrom mineralhematite.These intermediate parts are made of synthetic non-magnetic hematite. Hematite in its polished form is a perfectly black smooth mineral with a beautifully shiny surface. Beads and components made from synthetic hematite are heavier than glass and are generally only used as an accessory in jewellery. Hematite gets an even shinier surface by plating. The beads look as if they were made of real precious metals, both in their shine and their weight.

Crosses may contain chips and imperfectly ground edges - this is a more complex handmade mineral of this type and also shape.

Use the cross as an intermediate piece - the main component to be inserted between other beads when making bracelets, necklaces, rosaries.

It can also be used for other bead creations.
